Gov. Jim Pillen stopped at the Central Nebraska Regional Airport as part of a five-city tour of the state. Transportation and broadband were two of the subjects discussed on the tour. The goal, Pillen said, is 'connecting Nebraska so we grow Nebraska.' The Grand Island Chamber of Commerce will host its second annual summer internship social starting at 3 p.m. Friday, July 21. Building off last year's event, Grand Island businesses are invited to participate in a social mixer for college interns and recent college graduates.
