NDOT: Interstate 80 east of Grand Island now reopened

The Nebraska Department of Transportation said Interstate 80 west of Grand Island is still closed Thursday, but eastbound lanes have reopened. Due to whiteout conditions from extreme winter weather, I-80 was closed early Wednesday between Kearney and the Wyoming border. On Wednesday afternoon, I-80 was closed westbound at Grand Island. I-76 westbound was closed earlier Tuesday morning from I-80 to the Colorado border. Drivers are urged to monitor updates on closures reported by NDOT here.
