GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- Aksarben Stock Show organizers are thrilled after setting a new attendance record at this year's event. According to a news release, the Aksarben Stock Show hosted 40,003 people from Thursday to Sunday, which is the most in the show's 96-year history. It moved to Grand Island in 2017. The Nebraska State Fair produces the stock show. People from 13 different states participated and more than 3,300 head of livestock were on site at Fonner Park. More than $165,000 of premiums were awarded to winners.
